Rudrabhishek Puja

Rudrabhishek Puja is a very powerful Lord Shiv pooja. Lord Ram performed Rudrabhishekam to Shiv lingam in Rameswaram to obtain Lord Shiva's blessings. This puja promotes mental strength, good health, and the removal of negative effects. Rudrabhishek literally means the application of ritualistic materials to Rudra. Rudrabhishek entails the application of a pious mixture to Shiva Lingam. It includes the six materials mentioned in the Shiva Purana as well as whatever a devotee can afford. Rudrabhishek is performed by bathing Shiva Lingam in cow milk and then applying honey, juices, and fruit and nut paste to satiate Lord Shiva's poison effect.
